Biography
Anthony Rogers trained as an archaeologist and worked in the field for several years before undertaking art studies in Bath. He has completed numerous private commissions, and exhibited widely. Work exhibited has included large scale sculptures at ‘Fresh Air’, Quenington, Glos, ‘Ground Cover’ at the Devon Guild of Craftsmen and ‘Art in the Garden’ at the Sir Harold Hillier Gardens. He has participated in the Hojer International Wood Sculpture Symposium, Denmark, and SculpTree at Westonbirt Arboretum since 2003. Commissions have included large scale sculpted seating for two public art projects in Wiltshire and Somerset, and artist-in-residence at Staunton Country Park, Hampshire, where he created sculptures and sculptural seating.
